The NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme

NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme

The NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme allows HSC staff and students studying healthcare degrees to develop on an innovative idea which will benefit the wider patient and staff community throughout the HSC.

During this twelve-month programme, the clinical entrepreneurs will develop their innovation further while learning new entrepreneurial skills through various meetups and webinar opportunities. This includes two-day pitstop sessions, one-to-one mentoring and webinar workshops.

Last year was the first time the NHS CEP was available in Northern Ireland, and seven entrepreneurs from across the HSC were accepted on to the programme.

Applications for the next cohort of Clinical Entrepreneurs open on 3rd October and close on 30th October 2022. To inspire the next cohort of Northern Ireland applicants, HIRANI hosted a webinar on 26th September. This informative evening allowed attendees to hear from leaders of the programme, current Northern Ireland Clinical Entrepreneurs, and covered details of the application process. This recording is available to view below:
